Snoezelen sensory rooms and multisensory environments use equipment to stimulate visual, auditory, tactile, smell, and motor sensations (proprioception and vestibular stimulation). Examples of equipment:

  • Vision - bubbles (tubes, walls, tables, etc.), light beam and projector
  • Hearing - relaxation music, device vibration sounds, wind sounds (wind bells), seashore sounds
  • Tactile - vibrating pillows and mattresses, tactile boards, pillows and curtains, balls, and other products of different surfaces and textures.
  • Aroma - aromatic oils
  • Proprioception and vestibular stimulation (Motorics) - rocking chairs, swings, slings, stretching and reaching exercises.
